in an infinite universe, nothing is impossible; possibility is defined purely by degrees of rising or declining probability. by virtue of this construction, fate is coincidence, and destiny is luck. to define it otherwise requires a system of belief or faith, not fact or reason.
this is not to imply that such a perspective is less true, because of the near impossibility of objectivity in an infinite universe; everything is relative to everything else, including what we deem to be true at a particular time in a particular space. therefore, any point of view is best until it is superceded by another point of view, relative to the individual or group that judges thusly.
