exploring mt. rainier
went to mt. rainier national park today, 2 hours SE of us; this is the same mt. rainier (with the accompanying cascade mountain range) that we can see from our balcony, only much bigger when you’re at the base looking up at it, natch. beautiful tall trees and snow-capped peaks and glaciers, quiet and green and shrouded in mist.
also, joriel’s 19″ flatscreen monitor arrived, much to my immense jealousy. i get to buy one too, once i get a job. so now she can use her CPU again, and i have the laptop to myself - which works out fine. i’ve got the wifi set up, so i can stay connected anywhere in the apartment. the porch is nice too, but it’s hard to see the screen in the daytime.
