the ‘when’, and ‘where’, and ‘how’, and even the ‘what’ does not and should not concern me so much anymore. the ‘who’ shifts somewhat in regards to the weather, but i’m working on that. as for the ‘why’, i can think of many answers; but when those fail me, i take great pleasure in ‘why not’.

beautiful day today. certainly not the sort where you intentionally go into work and sit in semi-darkness for 8 hours. sigh. how do those guys with their desks by the windows overlooking puget sound get any work done at all?
what i really want to do is get on a different bus, the one that takes me to some beach nearby, and just wander, explore, watch the gulls; a nap, perhaps. maybe next week, on one of my days off.
also: i’m finally, slowly uploading pictures from our honeymoon; i’m managing about a day, well, a day. i love them, but they’re inspiring me to miss my sister, nick and vacations with joriel in general.
not much else to report, if that’s even the proper term. this blog is more about reflection and self-indulgence, really, so the long breaks inbetween posts could be interpreted as periods of humility. riiight.

stuck in the parking lot of the post office by the radio: ‘I Feel Just Like a Child’ by Devendra Banhart. ‘I Don’t Wanna Grow Up’ by Tom Waits. ‘This Year’ by the Mountain Goats.
as a general rule, it’s rewarding when the universe seems to be paying you attention. but sometimes it’s just laughing at you.
