Joey and Emily continue to provide wisdom. If you do not read them every day, then this is one of the ways in which you and I are different.

Good grief, what an amazing image - you can see so many landmarks, including Gasworks Park at the bottom in all its green, scenic wonderfulness. Taken by California resident Thatcher Kelley on a flight to our fair city this past September.

If you look at the larger version, in the center left of the shot you’ll see three red and white cellular towers; we live two blocks from there.

Another starheadboy painting! I was fortunate enough to find one at this very spot beside the Burke-Gilman last month, leaning beside the pole; it’s hanging in our stairway now.  This one appears nailed up, so I won’t be greedy.

UPDATE 1/31/2012: It’s gone, hopefully to a happy owner vs. the dumpster.

From last year’s benefit; *just* now finally finished it. 12 days from now, I’ll be working on the photographs for this year’s. Hahaha sob

Mostly kidding – I love this kind of stuff. And this year’s shoot is shaping up to need waaay less post-work than last time, which was the big time suck.

Running errands with Sagan today: Post Office, Goodwill drop-off, Madison Market, Trader Joe’s. Amazed at how quickly he’s grown, and how damned smart and funny he is. He can still be a handful to cart around for “gotta get stuff done” runs, but I’ve found if I pack a snack or two, and keep him engaged in conversation, he’s pretty cool to hang out with :)

My new favorite tea, for those nights when coffee isn’t enough and matcha is too much. A very pleasant black with both vanilla and white that Joriel turned me on to recently.

DOTV staff meeting with the Crocodile this evening; extremely pleased and impressed with our new contact there. Good feelings overall about how this year’s show is going to unfold…

Wishing our friend Jesse well prior to his southward travelings, at the Unicorn with many other admirers; he’s headed to San Francisco for a new job. Until we meet again old friend! :)
