Jenny George, Nagel-fied by the amazing Rick G! DOTV has been rocking my world lately, there’s so much to do… but this was an excellent boost.

Another excellent Salon, but not until I had a total of seven different readers cancel on me over the last few weeks (including one no-show this evening). Good thing I’ve learned to overbook, and know who I can call to come read embarrassing shit about themselves with less than 24 hour’s notice.

JUST KIDDING, MEAT’S AWESOME

All manner of things going on right now for Joriel and I projectwise – DOTV for both of us, Salon of Shame for me, to reference just a couple. Then there’s the refrigerator, which decided that today was a good day to die (better than in the Summer, I guess). And as always, our sweet Sagan, to whom our worries and labors seem like irritating obstacles to what he needs when he needs it, bless him.

Just have to keep on keepin’ on. Though I’m tempted to slack for pleasure when I’m surrounded by deadlines and stress, I’ve learned that there’s greater joy to be found in embracing the stress, drawing on its power to pass through. As easy as an ordinary life would be without the “extracurricular” stuff has proven to be in the past, I inevitably find it unsatisfying. To be truthful, simply checking off all the default boxes is all I can manage some days (wake, earn money, eat, sleep), but I need the adversity of reaching beyond that list to get to where I’m wanting to go.
